New fire unit in help call
A NEW small fire service vehicle was unable to deal with its first incident alone.
The unit was called out to a vehicle fire in Clase, but did not have the capability to extinguish the blaze and its crew needed to call for a full-sized engine from Morriston to attend, adding almost ten minutes until the fire was put out. Fire chiefs say the unit is intended to keep other vehicles available for more serious incidents.

“Thank you phantom for sharing that link on northern Ireland fire service.
I must say having read that I am flabbergasted!
Can you just imagine working in such a rotten organisation, where bonuses are shared by only a select few, inherent bullying and not knowing who to trust, people willing to do anything for their next promotion, with no regard whatsoever for the people they are affecting??
I also thought the days where public money was flitted away frivolously on ineffective ideas and policies had long gone, and where the public purse was also used to make settlements in industrial tribunals et al!!
Silly me! I'm just so glad I'm not a northern Irish taxpayer, and count myself so lucky I live in mid and west Wales............phew!!”

“Oh Dear!! Blodwyn, you seem to suggest that there are plenty of beans to spill with your comments?
Also, by suggesting that an individual would have a 'price' to pay says to me that you would advocate the use of intimidation and threat?
I do so very much hope that you are not one of the management within this organisation. Take a look at what is happening in Northern Ireland Fire Service.

“I love it when a member of an organisation makes comments on a web site and is daft enough to have his name in his profile! Oops

“News flash......news flash......fire....fire ......fire
Big red fire engine with lots of water on it can't put out tyre fire in Fforestfach, had to have support for 30 odd days from 15 other fire engines from as far afield as Newtown, oh and they managed to find the fire!”

“Hahaha mid and west Wales fire service is descending in to a laughing stock! This vehicle sounds like nothing more than a van with a watering can!!!
Surely the firefighters can refuse to use the van on grounds of health and safety??”
