A NEW salt barn has now been completed at The Quays in Briton Ferry.

Mike Roberts, head of streetcare at Neath Port Talbot council, told councillors at the Environ- ment and Highways scrutiny committee that the barn was now being used to store the salt.

He said: "We have spread 6,200 tonnes so far this winter season, so it is going fine. We are currently moving in more salt from Swansea docks.''
