New controversy for Cardiff City ahead of Swansea City clash
CARDIFF City have suffered a pre-derby jolt amid reports that their new head of recruitment does not have the right visa.
Alisher Aspalyamov, a 23-year-old Kazakh, was appointed in controversial circumstances last month after Iain Moody, one of manager Malky Mackay’s henchmen, was shown the door.
But it has now been claimed that Aspalyamov’s visa only allows him to work in this country on a 12-month internship.
Cardiff are now said to be working with the Home Office to ensure Aspalyamov can stay on in his role, and they are believed to be confident that the situation will be sorted out.
