Neil Taylor eyes Malmo repeat as Swansea City face Petrolul Ploiesti
NEIL Taylor has called for a repeat of Swansea City's first leg performance against Malmo when Michael Laudrup's men return to Europa League action tomorrow.
Swansea entertain Petrolul Ploiesti at the Liberty before heading to Romania seven days later, with the tie winners progressing to the competition group stages.
Laudrup’s side comfortably cleared their first European hurdle thanks largely to a thumping 4-0 home win over Malmo.
And Taylor is hoping for a similar display this time around.
“It was a perfect result against Malmo in the first leg, hopefully we can do that again, but the key is not to concede,” he said.
“That makes it easier when you go over there for the second leg.
“If we can replicate what we did in our first European match I’m sure we’ll be fine.
“When I played away in Malmo I got a real flavour of what European competition is all about.
“Hopefully we can do the business in these two games and get to where we want to be – that’s the group stage."
Taylor is tipped to play tomorrow with Laudrup considering resting the likes of Ben Davies.
