Neath out to forget cup defeat
NEATH will be looking to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow after a surprise midweek defeat.
The Gnoll side entertain Newtown still smarting from a shock 2-1 loss at Haverfordwest in the Loosemores League Cup.
Last Friday they had toppled the Bluebirds 3-0 in the league.
Neath boss Andy Dyer said: "It was a bit disappointing but we have a second chance to turn the tie our way next week."
Tomorrow's game sees Neath play at home for the first time this season. But they won't have it all their own way against a side who are surprisingly second in the Welsh Premier League.
"We are glad to get a game at The Gnoll at last and we're all looking forward to it," added Dyer. "We are hoping a big crowd will turn out to see our new signings.
"We have a number of former Swansea City players — including Lee Trundle and Kristian O'Leary — and we have special incentives for Swansea supporters to come to our matches.
"It would be brilliant and a big boost to the club if we had a good crowd, and Newtown are attractive opposition.
Neath are at full strength, with Kevin Cooper back in the reckoning.
