RUGBY players have signed up to campaign to raise the awareness of the harmful effects of second-hand smoke.

Neath RFC and the South Wales Scorpions rugby league club are backing Fresh Start Wales, the Welsh Government's campaign warning of the dangers second-hand smoke can pose to children and others, especially in cars.

South Wales Scorpions head coach Dave Clark said: "We promote a healthy lifestyle at our club and we want to encourage optimal performance in our players."

Neath head coach Pat Horgan said: "We would encourage any clubs that want to help their members and create a more family-friendly environment to get on board with the campaign and promote the message."
