HATS off to the young chefs!

Youngsters from Neath Abbey Infants School have paid a visit to the bakery at the Neath campus of Neath Port Talbot College.

Teacher Delyth Griffiths said the reception class had a great time at the college.

"One of our mums works in the catering department and arranged a visit," she said.

"It was a fabulous visit. The pupils made hedgehog loaves.

"They did some cooking with the students and were shown around the restaurant."

Pupils from the school also marked Fairtrade Fortnight last week with a special bake-off event.

They will also be paying a visit to Tesco in Neath Abbey this week to look at the Fairtrade products.

The year two class will also be paying a visit to the college today.
