Naked man from Llanelli arrested on Swansea coach

POLICE have described how they led a naked man off a National Express coach in Swansea.

Several officers were sent to the pick-up and drop-off point at the rear of Debenhams, by the Quadrant Bus Station, where they arrested a 51-year-old on the Heathrow Airport to Swansea service.

Details of what happened and exactly when the man removed his clothes during the journey remain unclear.

The man is from the Llanelli area, and was arrested under the Mental Health Act.

A National Express spokeswoman said: “We will assist the police with any further enquiries they may have into this matter.”

A South Wales Police spokesman said: “Police were called to Swansea bus station at around 4.45pm on Wednesday, March 20, following reports of a man having taken his clothes off while on board a coach.

“The man was arrested under the Mental Health Act and taken to a place of safety.”
