A REVIEW of NHS data has suggested people are more likely to die if they are admitted to hospital at weekends.

Patients are 16 per cent more likely to die if they are admitted on a Sunday than a Wednesday.

    “Could the reason possibly be that people admitted over a weekend are accident & emergency cases whilst the midweek patients are not. Doh!”
