NFU Cymru president Ed Bailey and NFU Mutual chief executive Lindsay Sinclair opened the newly expanded and refurbished NFU Cymru office in Carmarthen recently.

Both cut the ribbon in front of the office, which is situated in Cambrian Place in the town centre.

NFU Cymru group secretary in Carmarthen, Carwyn Jones, who has managed the business for nine years, said: "The NFU didn't want to get left behind following all the expansion and improvement works completed recently to Carmarthen town centre.

"So we've had our own refurbishment inside and outside our office, and we've taken the opportunity to expand our business to fill the entire building.

"The stylish new office will give staff a more spacious and functional environment and better equip them to deliver a professional service." The NFU has had a presence in Carmarthen for 42 years, and now has 16 staff.

It also donates office space within Agriculture House, rent-free, to the county's YFC.

Assistant group secretary Angharad Evans said: "Despite the change inside the premises, our approach will remain the same — a reliable service, friendly and approachable staff, good quality products and a personal touch.

"It is not a complicated method, but it is one that works for us and has proven successful for a century, as NFU Mutual celebrates its 100th birthday this year."

Angharad added: "If you would like a discussion about what the NFU Mutual office in Carmarthen can do for you, then please give us a ring on 01267 236654 or pop in to see us.

"You could also visit our website at www.nfumutual. co.uk/carmarthen. We look forward to hearing from you."
