Murder investigation launched in Aberdare

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 45 year-old man in Aberdare.

An 18-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Officers were called to a property in Cardiff Road at 3.20am this morning.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Anyone who was in the area of Cardiff Road, Aberaman this morning between 2am and 3.20am, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is urged to contact the incident room at Cardiff Central police station on 02920 527 303."
