Mumbles paddlesurfer braves the weather on Gower to train for championship
A TEAM GB paddlesurfer braved the freezing conditions in Swansea to prepare for a world championship in Peru.
Abi Barker-Smith, 33, from Mumbles, has been facing snow, sleet, rough seas and temperatures just a few degrees above freezing almost every day as she trains off Rhossili Beach, in Gower, ahead of the 2013 International Surfing Association World Championships.

Abi says she doesn't look forward to going out in the bracing conditions but is prepared to put the hours in ahead of the event.
