Multi-million pound rehab centre for patients with artificial limbs due to open at Morriston Hospital in Swansea
A £9.5 MILLION centre to support patients with artificial limbs was today due to open its doors at Swansea's Morriston Hospital.
The Specialist Rehabilitation Centre is part of a £102 million redevelopment of the hospital and features consulting and treatment rooms, occupational therapy facilities and a physiotherapy gym.
Lorna Tasker, principal clinical scientist at the Rehabilitation Engineering unit housed in the centre, said: "The centre is a first-class building providing dedicated clinical facilities which will significantly improve the patient experience."
The overall redevelopment of Morriston Hospital has already seen a multi-storey car park and estates building completed, as well as upgrades to the mortuary and emergency department.

A spokeswoman for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board confirmed work is now well under way on a £60 million extension of the hospital due for completion in autumn 2014.

if so where will any other grants be spent in this area ? what plans do ABM have?”
