Two very tasty Italians to report to you — and they're down in price too.

First is the Tesco Finest Nero D'Avola (Tesco, £4.99 down from £6.49) which has masses of bold black cherry and plum flavours, while for a white partner-in-dine look no further than the Tesco Finest Fiano (Tesco, £4.98 down from £5.98) with its apple and citrus palate.

Both these wines are good examples of modern Sicilian wine-making — my advice is snap-up a couple of bottles for this weekend.
