Motorist suffers whiplash after A465 collision
A WOMAN suffered whiplash after a collision involving three vehicles and an HGV on the A465 today (25/2/13).
Firefighters, ambulance crews and police were called to the incident which happened at 12.32pm on the southbound carriageway of the road from Neath to Llandarcy opposite Tesco supermarket.
A spokeswoman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed oxygen therapy was given to three people at the scene by ambulance crews.
Firefighters from Neath and Morriston were sent to the scene and left at 1.24pm.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 12.34pm to an RTC on the A465.
"A Rapid Response Vehicle and Emergency Ambulance attended.
"A female with whiplash injuries and a male with a knee injury were treated at the scene but not conveyed to hospital."

“That's almost impossible unless you've a very old car or haven't set the headrest correctly in which case you're culpable. Of course if you're illegally not wearing a seat belt it's different.
All you get is neck strain by being thrown forward not whiplash where the head is thrown back over the body. One hurts & the other can paralyse or kill”
