A MOTORIST had to be cut free from a vehicle following a four-car crash in a busy Swansea road.

Emergency services were called to Gower Road in Sketty just before 10am yesterday following the smash involving two Ford Fiestas, a Ford Fusion and a VW Golf.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said two women — aged 86 and 32 — were treated at the scene for injuries and then taken to hospital.

Their injuries were described as "not life threatening".
