Motorcyclist dies and two others critical after road accident near Clydach
A motorcyclist has died after a crash on the A465 Heads of the Valley Road on the outskirts of Clydach this afternoon.
The collision involved a Peugeot 106 car which was travelling towards Brynmawr and a Yamaha motorcycle and a Brutale motorcycle which were travelling towards Abergavenny at 12.35pm.

On arrival at the scene emergency services pronounced one of the motorcyclists deceased, and the other motorcyclist and the driver of the car are both described as having suffered critical injuries. The car passenger is reported to have suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the car was taken by air ambulance to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff and the surviving motorcyclist and the car passenger were taken to Nevill Hall hospital.

The A465 Heads of the Valley Road between the Gilwern and Brynmawr roundabouts remains closed at this time, with diversions in place.
Gwent Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Gwent Police by dialling 101.
