Mixed masonic HQ plan
THE International Order of Freemasonry for Men and Women has given the green light for the creation of Wales's first co-masonic lodge.
It said the lodge would be the first in the country to allow women as well as men to become freemasons.
The International Order of Freemasonry for Men and Women, also known as Le Droit Humain, has been going for more than 100 years. It said it was one of only a handful of masonic orders which accepted men and women equally.
The order said it would reveal more about the lodge at its annual convention in November. The lodge's location is yet to be decided, but will be between Aberdare and Cardiff.
