Michael Sheen and Rachel McAdams spilt according to US press

PORT Talbot star Michael Sheen has reportedly spilt from actress Rachel McAdams.

The couple, who went public with their romance in October 2010, are said to have called time on their romance, according to press in America.

Rachel, 34, and 44-year-old Michael first met when they worked together on Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris.

The reasons behind the reported break-up are as yet unknown.

Speaking previously about the relationship, Rachel had said that while the long-distance aspect of their romance was difficult, they did their best to manage it.

Rachel lives in Toronto, Canada, while Michael divides his time between his native Wales and Los Angeles.

She said: "Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart — we rack up a lot of air miles — but you have to be quite adaptable in this business whether you are in a relationship or not.

"Trying to establish roots somewhere is a bit of a joke."
