His best result this year was clinching fourth place overall on his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
He said: "It will be the first time I've driven for a British team since the Carlin Racing team in my Formula 3 years.
"We did about 40 laps at Donington recently just so I could get comfortable in the car, and I was pleased that I fitted in pretty quickly.
"I had to learn the different systems in the Lola Aston Martin, and this will be the third prototype I've driven this year, so I've been learning a lot of new steering wheel layouts.
"It's also the first time this season that I'll be running on Michelin tyres, but in the test session it didn't take long to get a feel for the way they handled."
Aston Martin team principal George Howard-Chappell said: "I'm very pleased to welcome Andy to the team. In testing he did a very nice job.
"He integrated himself well with the team and we are all looking forward to Silverstone."
After the Silverstone event, Meyrick will return to America with Dyson Racing for the final round of the American Le Mans Series.
