Men appear in court charged with Port Talbot murder
THREE men have appeared in court accused of the murder of a Port Talbot man.
The body of David John Eves, 43, from Sandfields, Port Talbot, was found at a property in Pentyla on Friday morning.
Paul David Evans who lives at a flat on Pentyla Baglan Road, appeared at Neath Magistrates today along with Shaun William Rogers from Farmfield Avenue, Port Talbot, and William Desmond Rogers who has no fixed abode.
The trio all face the same charge jointly of the murder of Mr Eves between February 8 and February 11.
Police arrested the men on Friday and they were kept in police custody over the weekend.
They were charged late on Sunday night.
William Rogers, 45, who wore a dark blue jumper, was represented by Mark Davies at the hearing.
He only spoke to confirm his name and age.
Evans, 49, was represented by Christopher Lacey.
He wore a grey hooded top and also spoke only to confirm his name and age.
Defending Shaun Rogers, 24, was Steven Harrett. Rogers confirmed his details to the court. He wore a black jumper.
Chairman of magistrates Howard Davies told all three separately that their cases would be dealt with at Swansea Crown Court.
A preliminary hearing will take place on February 21 at 10am.
If there are any bail applications to be made, they will take place at Swansea Crown Court on Thursday, February 16.
