Megan, a pupil at Llandybie Primary School, beat off competition from hundreds of other girls to win the part.
She said: "I was so happy when I got the phone call, I love the musical Les Miserables."
Megan will be playing the role of Eponine and will sing the famous song Castle On A Cloud.
Megan will be appearing in the show at the Bristol Hippodrome throughout July and August.
Brother
Megan attends the Mark Jermin Stage School in Pontlliw every Saturday morning. She is following in the footsteps of brother Gwion, who won the part of Oliver in TV show I'd Do Anything with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
He has just signed on for another year as Oliver at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in London's West End.
He paid tribute to his younger sister. "I am really proud of my sister, I loved every minute of Oliver and I think she is going to be really good in Les Miserables," he said.
Mark Jermin, who teaches Megan every week said: "Megan has a beautiful voice and I'm not surprised she's been cast in this great role."
