When life on earth is done

When death has finally come

Is that it — is that the end

Or, with joy, do we go and meet our Friend.

Our Almighty Father, from the heavens above

Came to the earth to show us His love

Born of a woman in a lowly place

Jesus came to show us His Glorious face.

He came sinless and pure and full of compassion

To show us the way to eternal salvation

By death on the cross and by His blood

Our sinful lives can be changed for the good.

To follow Him on the path of life

Brings only happiness, instead of strife

The joy and peace of knowing Jesus, our Friend

Takes away the fear at the final end.

Oh, the angels will sing with such glee

When Jesus calls for you and me

To meet with Him and to see His face

Is our final joy in God's heavenly place.
