MARGAM reached the final of the Welsh national indoor cricket final after an impressive 84-run defeat of Hafod CC.

Batting first, Margam raced to 174-0, with Nicky Maggs making an unbeaten 27, Alex McCormack and Neil Williams both making 25 not out and Ryan Evans adding an undefeated 23.

In reply, Hafod were all out for 90, with Jay Copp the only batsman to defy the economical attack with 28.

An excellent performance by Cimla in the H Sports Swansea Indoor League saw them defeat Penlan RFC by 71 runs.

Joe Parkhouse top-scored for Cimla with an unbeaten 30, with Yaqoob Ali (27no), Imran Pervez (26no) and Arun Rengaswamy (20) all adding to the total.

There were 47 extras.

Penlan were all out for 81, with Andrew Davies scoring 32. Rengaswamy took 2-16, Ali 1-14 and Parkhouse 1-14.

Tower enjoyed a walkover as Gowerton failed to raise a team.
