A GROUP of 10 staff members from Swansea employer Admiral are getting their walking shoes on for charity with a 56-mile walk over just two days.

The staff, from Admiral's New Business department, will set off on Saturday from the Loughor Bridge before embarking on their mammoth walk along the Gower Peninsular coastal path.

They will then pass through Llanrhidian, Rhossili, Oxwich, Caswell Bay, and the Mumbles and will finish at Admiral Group House on SA1.

The walk is to raise funds for Healing the Wounds, a Welsh based charity that delivers support for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to serving armed forces personnel, veterans and the police, fire and ambulance emergency services, and the participants hope to raise £1,000.

Walk organiser, Ed Baker, said: "As the challenge is getting closer I am starting to get a bit apprehensive due to the size of the challenge, hoping that all the planning pays off, and that everyone completes the walk safely."

The company has proved a keen fund raiser in the past wit its staff undertaking a range of challenges to support worthy causes such as Francesca's Footsteps, The Prince's Trust Cymru, The Samaritans and Llys Nini Animal Centre.
