NEW jobs could be coming to a Swansea community with the refurbishment of an empty shop.

Swansea Council has granted permission for a new shop front to be installed on Robert Street in the Manselton area of the city.

The existing shop is empty and has been unused for some time.

A spokesman for the development said: "Part of the proposal is to refurbish the existing retail unit and improve its frontage as this part of the building has remained empty for some time.
