Man stabbed in face and stomach near block of flats in Waun Wen, Swansea
POLICE are appealing for help after a man was attacked with a knife near a block of flats.
The 40-year-old victim suffered injuries to his face and stomach in the assault at the rear of flats in the Waun Wen area of Swansea.
Officers are appealing for anybody with information about what happened to come forward.
South Wales Police detective constable David Connick of Swansea Central CID said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack near to a large residential area.
"I urge anyone who saw a suspicions male in the area at the time, or who has any relevant information, to come forward.”
The incident happened at around 10.15pm on Sunday, behind a block of flats in Gordon Thomas Close.
The victim needed hospital treatment following the attack but his injuries were not life-threatening.
Police have released a description of a man they want to talk in connection with the incident — he is described as white, 6ft tall, of a slight build, and aged in his 30s. He was wearing dark coloured clothes.
