Man seriously ill after being knifed by gang in Swansea garden
A MAN is seriously ill in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach by an armed gang.
The 23-year-old was set upon by four attackers in the garden of a house in Granogwen Road, Mayhill, Swansea.
The victim was rushed to Morriston Hospital suffering with knife wounds where he underwent emergency surgery. His condition is said to be serious but stable.
Detective Inspector Pete Doyle, of Swansea Central CID, said: "This assault involved the use of a knife and has caused a very serious stab wound to the victim.
"I am appealing to the residents of Mayhill to come forward with any information, no matter how insignificant they may think it is."
The incident happened just after 9.30pm on Tuesday.
Police have issued descriptions of four white men they want to talk to in connection with the incident.
The first is in his mid 30s, and of a medium build, with long light brown hair pushed behind his ears.
He was wearing a black hooded top with white writing on the front, and blue jeans.
The second is also in his mid 30s but of a thin build, and with brown curly hair.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap, and a blue tracksuit jacket.
The third suspect is in mid 20s and of a thin build, with brown hair brushed forward. He was wearing a white and blue tracksuit top and blue jeans.
The last man is in his late teens, and is described as being of a skinny build, with long brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Police believe the four men left the scene in a small black car following the attack.
DI Doyle said: "I would like to reassure the community that a full investigation is under way and we will be focusing all our efforts on apprehending the culprits."
