Man killed after his Shogun leaves road and crashes through hedge in Capel Dewi, Carmarthenshire
A driver has died after his 4x4 left the road and crashed through a hedge.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident — which happened on the B4300 between Nantgaredig and Capel Dewi near Carmarthen — to come forward.
The vehicle involved was a silver Mitsubishi Shogun and the driver — who has not yet been named — is described as an "elderly male". He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The crash happened just after midday, and the road remained closed for most of the afternoon while officers examined the scene.

A Dyfed Powys Police spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating a one-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the main road through Capel Dewi, near Capel Isaf Farm at approximately 12.10pm.
"The vehicle left the road and went through a hedge.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police."
