Man fined for door damage
A MAN threw a set of speakers and a tin of paint against his neighbour's door after he had been drinking.
Carmarthen magistrates heard the 49-year-old had been drinking vodka and brandy with a friend.
Carl Derek Lawrence Aldous, of Water Street, Carmarthen, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage and using threatening behaviour.
The court heard the incident happened during the early hours of the morning on July 13 at the unit of flats belonging to Bro Myrddin Housing Association.
Aldous was also already the subject of a conditional discharge, given to him in March.
Defence solicitor Mike Reed said the neighbour's door had already been cracked in a police raid three weeks before the incident and added that Aldous had cleaned up most of the spilt paint.
Aldous was re-sentenced for the March offence and fined £65 for causing damage.
He was also ordered to pay £35 court costs with a £15 victim surcharge.
Aldous pleaded not guilty to a charge of possessing cannabis and the prosecution withdrew the allegation due to the amount of drugs involved and the cost of a possible trial.
