A 33-year-old man has died following a road accident in Marshfield.
The collision occurred at approximately 8.05pm on Marshfield Road last night.

It involved a green Proton Persona car and a white Ford Transit van.
The driver of the Proton, who was from from Marshfield, was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital but he later died of his injuries. Nobody else was injured in the collision.

The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered and a full investigation of the scene took place.
