Man critically ill in hospital following Cardiff attack
POLICE are appealing for information after an attack which has left a Cardiff man fighting for his life.
The 21-year-old from Lisvane is being treated at the University Hospital of Wales after he suffered serious head injuries in the incident, which happened on Sunday.
His family are being supported by a specially-trained family liaison officer.
Police say a 40-year-old man from Hampshire has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on November 14.
Detective Inspector Julian Bull, from Cardiff CID, said: “One man has been arrested and charged with the assault however the investigation is still very much on-going and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“The incident happened on the Kingsway near to the Lloyds Bank at around 12.40am on Sunday, October 27.
“There were many people in the area at the time and would appeal for any witnesses to contact us.
