Man charged with racially aggravated public order offence in connection with incident at Swansea V Norwich game

A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence, following an incident in Swansea City's Liberty Stadium in December.

Catrin Attwell, senior crown prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service, Wales, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service has examined a file of evidence gathered by South Wales Police following a complaint made at the Swansea City v Norwich City match at the Liberty Stadium on December 8, 2012."

She said that, as a result of this, Lee Ward had been charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

The offence, she added, was allegedly racially aggravated.
