A man has been airlifted to hospital from rocks off Gower this morning after apparently suffering a fit.

It is understood the 26-year-old suffered a seizure while taking part in outdoor pursuits on Skysea Island, a rocky outcrop at Port Eynon bay.

An RAF rescue helicopter from Chivenor was scrambled to the scene, and members of Rhossili coastguard team assisted in the operation.

The man was flown to Morriston Hospital. His condition is not yet know.
