Man aged 26 charged with murder of Kevin Hier in Tondu
A 26-year-old man has this evening been charged with the murder of Bridgend man Kevin Hier.
Mr Hier was found collapsed at a house in Heol yr Ysgol, Tondu, near Aberkenfig, on Wednesday night and rushed to hospital, but the 50-year-old could not be saved.
South Wales Police have confirmed that James Curtis, aged 26, of Ynysawdre, has been charged with murder, and will appear before Bridgend Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
In a statement released yesterday, Mr Hier's family said his death had left them devastated.
They said: “He was the most caring and affectionate man you could ever have the privilege of knowing and was regarded by many as a ‘gentle giant’ who would go out of his way to help anyone who asked and never had a bad streak in him."
