Making study MP3-easy for GCSE students
TWO Swansea-based entrepreneurs are helping pupils to sing their way to GCSE success after launching an innovative music tool to help the iPod generation with their studies.
Geraint Brown, aged 27, and Nathan Dicks, aged 26, are directors of Rewise Learning and have created the LearnThruMusic package for GCSE English students.

It breaks down classical texts on the current syllabus such as Macbeth and Lord of the Flies and turns them into rock and pop songs for pupils to download.
The scheme has been championed by Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Mr Dicks said: "The benefits of using music to have a positive memory and learning ability have been well documented in educational journals for years now, so it's about time we look at ways of integrating it more into our children's education."
As well as set English literature texts, the company produces songs about grammar, constructing essays, and persuasive devices and techniques.
David Jones, South Wales representative of youth music organisation Yo!MAZ and a former music teacher, said it was a useful tool for young people on the edge of mainstream education.
"We are dealing with young people, such as in pupil referral units, who are not necessarily educationists. In those other settings, there's sometimes a barrier when you tell young people they are going to study a course," said Mr Jones.
"With this there is an element of subconscious learning. They don't see it as formal education but it does allow them to start developing skills such as English and computer literacy."
Education Minister for Wales Jane Hutt congratulated the entrepreneurs on their innovative product.
She said: "This distinctive way of revising is new and creative. Anything that encourages young people to enjoy and embrace literature and learning, while helping them prepare for exams, should be welcomed."
