YOUNGSTERS are being challenged to come up with a legendary rap at the Merlin Festival in Carmarthen.

The festival will be held on Saturday, August 14 on Guildhall Square with activities on Notts Square, Merlin's Walk and St Catherine's Walk.

A rapping competition has been organised for 2.45pm and youngsters are being invited to perform a rap about Merlin, a myth or a legend on stage.

This will be judged on the day by the crowd, and the winner will receive a family meal voucher.

A Treasure Hunt has also been organised around Carmarthen on the theme of Merlin, with the prize of a bike worth £100 sponsored by the Merlin's Walk Shopping Centre.
