MP delivers for nursery
SWANSEA West MP Geraint Davies took on a new role far different from any Parliamentary duties he has ever carried out — he was a milk monitor for the day.
He helped mark World School Milk Day by doing the honours at Montessori Nursery in Uplands.
Mr Davies met staff dressed in cow costumes, saw the life size cow model designed by pupils and helped hand out the morning milk.
"We all know how important it is to give our children a healthy start in life and drinking milk is an important part of this," he said.
"It has many health benefits, including being a vital source of calcium and other nutrients, and I'm pleased that the Welsh Government has guaranteed free school milk for all children up to age seven."
