MP in bridge pledge
LLANELLI MP Nia Griffith has pledged to fight hard to save a much-loved Burry Port footbridge.
She said residents of the town showed their determination to save the "Brunel-design" bridge at a public meeting.
On Thursday she will be meeting with Network Rail representatives to discuss the situation.
"I shall be really stressing that this is a bridge that is well-used by passengers and shoppers alike, and that, if they need to make economies, they should make them elsewhere, and not threaten our bridge," she said.

“There are far to many people today with fire in their bellies, UKIP and the BNP are full of such people. Sadly far to often they are lacking in brains. "Ready, willing but not able", i would describe them best.”

“"peter53" Thankfully there are other people who have formed the same opinion, Today we have people getting themselves elected to office, who haven`t got the fire in their belly to make an impact.
While the people wait for an answer, don`t expect too much,by going on past campaigns, she "Won`t Rock the Boat".”

“Oh no she won't. After her initial 15 minutes of publicity, I predict she will fail and the bridge will be demolished.”
