All you need to do is use the Swansea Loyalty Card the next time you shop in any one of scores of different businesses.

Fill in a coupon at the till and hand it in with your purchase. It will then be entered into a draw and one lucky winner could scoop £2,000 in vouchers from Virgin Holidays. And the more purchases you make, the more chance you have of winning this fantastic prize.

Daniel Jones, Swansea Council's city centre manager, says: "The city centre loyalty card has been a huge success since being launched. More than 10,000 shoppers have now signed up and over 100 city centre traders are taking part.

"It's just one scheme that forms part of a city centre action plan that Swansea Council has put together to help our traders during tough financial times.

"We're also organising as many quality events as possible in the city centre to improve the visitor experience and attract more footfall.

"The beauty of the scheme is that the cards can only be redeemed in person in the participating shops and this helps attract people to the city centre itself.

"The chance to win £2,000 in holiday vouchers simply by using the card should help keep the scheme's momentum going and attract even more shoppers to discover the huge variety of shops, restaurants and other businesses in the city centre."

From savings on fashion and homewares to health and beauty offers, you can also grab a bite to eat while using your loyalty card.

Whether it's shopping, dining out, having a drink with friends or spending your time pampering yourself, there is plenty to enjoy and save with the loyalty card.

Mum of two Diane Richards, 61, of Morriston, says she is a regular user.

Offers

"I don't leave the house without the card now.

"The amount of offers and deals available are really impressive and it's easy to use. The discount varies from shop to shop. I have saved 50 per cent on lunchtime meals, which has been fantastic, I have had discount beauty and hair treatments and have bought several gifts and home items.

"I have also discovered new shops, some that I had never thought about going to before, and I have also tried new hair salons as it's cheaper than my usual hairdressers."

More than 5,000 shoppers signed up to the new loyalty card within the first few weeks of its launch.

Run by the City and County of Swansea, City Centre Management team and the Business Improvement District, the aim is to attract and encourage people to shop in the city centre and preserve it for future generations.

The winner of the competition will be announced live in the city centre on Friday, August 3.

Want the chance to join in? Loyalty cards can be collected from the Evening Post offices, Swansea City Centre Management offices in Plymouth Street and online at www. swanseacitycentre.com/ loyaltycard
