SPANISH midfielder Jordi Lopez is in talks with Swansea City, according to the player's agent.

Alex Bonnot claims Lopez has met with Swansea boss Paulo Sousa, but that there are two other Championship clubs also tracking him.

Lopez signed a three month contract with Queens Park Rangers when Sousa was in charge at Loftus Road, but has been unable to agree terms on an extension.

He won the Uefa Cup with Sevilla in 2006 and also made three appearances for Real Madrid.

“Mcdonald allen and evans are 3 youngsters who should be playing week in week out.

Some of you guys should watch the reserves, and the youth side.

There is more to the swans that the first team

Shame more of you don't understand that”

“We need to start getting the squad in place for the new season. There has been an alarming lack of transfer activity surrounding the club.
Other clubs are now in full flow getting players, we cannot affaord to be left behind.”

“Great another over seas player, will he last for a whole season?

lets give our home grown kids a chance, jones is the latest to leave, how long before evans and mcdonald follow him out of the club?

local kids like matthews are now playing for cardiff,

the youth set up is a shambles down there.

Where are the next charles, james, allchurchs, etc coming from?

and who is the head of our youth set up? a guy with a welsh league background?

brilliant , any chance we can get some who actually has a proven track record in that area?”

“I am a great believer in giving the Manager his chance and free run as the way the team is formed and plays will determine how successful both we and he becomesand hopefully he will be able to persuade Lopez to join us. With regards to Danny Haynes if the Manager can see something he feels will IMPROVE on what we currently have then let's let him make the decisions.”

“Typical British football fans response. Danny Haynes is a decent young prospect with plenty of experience in teh English game. Jordi Lopez has a fancy name who has been a bit-part player for all the club's he's played for.”

“I agree the wages may be a stumbling block Geoff, but seeing as he has already played under Sousa i think that will be a big advantage to the Swans.I think as a number of championship sides are interested in him PS will convince him to come to the liberty even if he only signs a 2 year contract.Like Bodde he will play to the best of his ability to try to convince premiership sides into watching him as that is where the big money will come concerning wages.Lets wait and see and hope for the best.”
