London Paralympics: Gold for Swansea swimmer Ellie Simmonds in the 200m individual medley
Ellie Simmonds has won the gold medal in the SM6 women’s 200m individual medley in a world record time of 3:05.39.
The Swansea swimmer claimed her second gold of the London Paralympics and broke her own world record in the process.

Simmonds, 17, produced a blistering freestyle leg to go past Oksana Kruhl to win in three minutes 5.39 seconds, dipping 0.75 seconds inside the mark she had set this morning.
The Olchfa Comprehensive School pupil said said she was "so happy" to be on the medal podium for a second time.

The Swansea-based swimmer had been shocked by her earlier performance today and on seeing the scoreboard tonight, she had a beaming smile on her face.
Great Britain's Natalie Jones took bronze in 3 minutes 14.29 seconds.
