Llys Nini rehomes 10 kittens at open evening
A SWANSEA animal centre will be waving farewell to a few of their most cutest residents.
A total of 10 adorable kittens are to be adopted following a re-homing open evening at the RSPCA Llys Nini farm in Penllergaer.
The evening aimed to promote some of their cats and more smaller animals — ferret, rabbits and birds — as well as offering cat microchipping at a discounted price.
Animal welfare manager Laura Simpson said the evening was a great success.
"We have had such an influx of cats and unwanted kittens, so we were are pushing re-homing with a couple of open evenings," she said.
"During the evening a total of 10 kittens were reserved which is a great number.
"People came and viewed the animals and spent a bit of time with them. They don't take them home straight away but have reserved them."
She said they still have plenty of pets for people to adopt.
"We do have some small animals as well as cats and kittens to adopt," she said.
Since 1995 Llys Nini has rescued and rehomed more than 11,900 animals.
The centre is open every day except Wednesday between 9.15am and 5pm. There is late night opening every Tuesday 5pm to 7pm by appointment.
