Llanelli Warriors linesman Lewi celebrates winning H-Bomb trophy
LLANELLI Warriors thrashed their English rivals 31 to 5 in a Friday night face-off to win the H-Bomb trophy — and for one avid fan, the victory meant so much.
Warriors and Bingley Bumble Bees Barbarians players visited linesman and stroke victim Lewis Jones, best known as Lewi, in hospital to show him the trophy. Warriors vice-captain, Christopher Hancock said: "He was very emotional. We didn't just do it for ourselves, we did it for Lewi. The game was intense and electric."
