Llandeilo butcher sees sales nearly treble after horse meat scandal.
A LLANDEILO butcher has seen sales double since the horse meat scandal broke, and says they are well on their way to trebling.
Lance Perry, part owner of Coopers Butchers in the town's Carmarthen Street, says that over the past two to three weeks, sales have been improving in the store.

A range of low-cost food products, including burgers and lasagnas, sold in some supermarkets, have been found to contain traces of horse meat since last month.
But Mr Perry, who has been at the Carmarthenshire store for nearly seven years, said people had already started to comment on the quality of the meat they sold there.

"They come in and they are saying that the meat is different, they can taste the difference in it when they're buying it from the butcher," said Mr Perry, who added that the store bought all its produce from local slaughterhouses.
"In the past few weeks sales have increased, beef sales have nearly trebled and mince sales have also gone up."
