A DEVASTATED mum who watched her two-week-old baby die in her arms wants other families to be spared the same agony.

Claire Joyce lost her son Cain to the life-threatening infection, group B streptococcus (GBS).

She is now battling for all Welsh mums-to-be to have vital tests to detect the condition.

And she has also made a complaint to Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust that no-one picked up on the fact he had the illness at Singleton Hospital until it was too late. The trust has said the matter is under full investigation.
