A SCHEME to renovate a Georgian house near Whitland has been submitted to county planners.

The application, by Ann Curtis of Glanrhyd House, Llanddewi Velfrey is for external renovation of the grade two listed building.

The gentry house dates back to the 1770s, and was built for Evan Griffith, a sheriff of Carmarthenshire.

The plans include restoration of the roof using period materials.
