Lego thief escapes prison term
A MAN has appeared in court after admitting stealing £163 of Lego.
Anfor Ali, aged 37, of no fixed address, also admitted stealing perfume from branches of Debenhams and Boots in Swansea city centre.
Ali was seen in the High Street branch of Argos on August 19 but it was only later they noticed the items had been stolen.
On September 10 he was seen in Debenhams to be putting boxes of perfume in his hoodie.
When security staff caught him, staff from Boots saw him and recognised him as being responsible for thefts in their store.
When he was arrested, Ali said he was homeless and was addicted to heroin.
Mr Griffiths accepted the offences were all unsophisticated but that his client had pleaded guilty to them all.
Magistrates made him subject to a six week sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £575 in costs, surcharge and compensation.
