Laudrup poised to unveil his No. 2
SWANSEA City are today poised to unveil Michael Laudrup's former Danish international team-mate Morten Wieghorst as their assistant manager.
Wieghorst will leave his current role as manager of Denmark's Under-21 side to move to the Liberty, where he will work alongside Erik Larsen and first-team coach Alan Curtis.
During his playing career, Wieghorst spent seven years with Celtic before joining Danish side Brondby, where he played under Laudrup.
The former midfielder also won 30 caps for his country and played alongside Swansea's manager at the 1998 World Cup.

Wieghorst's contract with the Danish Under-21s was due to expire this summer, but he was eager to return to club football as soon as possible.
Experience
The 41-year-old is a highly-rated manager in his homeland, and the Danish Football Association (DBU) are understood to have identified Wieghorst as the man to succeed Morten Olsen as manager of the senior Danish side in 2014.
Olsen has declared his intention to step down from his post next year, and the DBU believe the experience of working under Laudrup in the Premier League will make former Nordsjaelland boss Wieghorst the ideal successor.
"It surprises me a little," said DBU secretary Jim Stjerne Hansen.
"I had an idea he was not going to renew with us, but it surprises me that he will be starting in Swansea immediately."

“Fabulous and welcome aboard Morten, you'll no doubt obviously learn quite a bit from our Michael but I can assure you here, that SCFC's (LEGEND) Alan Curtis, will also be an asset towards your future: He's a "BRILLIANT"bloke too.”
