Laudrup planning to scale down the squad
MICHAEL Laudrup plans to cut the size of his squad next season because too many players have not been involved this term.
The likes of Mark Gower, Luke Moore, Leroy Lita and Jazz Richards have only had bit-part roles at Swansea City this season.
And though Swansea have a realistic chance of qualifying for the Europa League next year, Laudrup wants fewer bodies on board in 2013-14.
"In the last couple of months we have used a big part of the squad and that's important because you want as many players as possible to feel they are important," said the Swansea boss.

"But there are still three or four players who unfortunately we have not found space for, and I have gained good experience from that.
"The number of players in our squad has to go down next season.
"I don't like to always leave the same players out. We have some players who are only coming to train and not play, and that's not good."

“A smaller squad with a bit more quality, I like the sound of that.
Have to say, I really feel sorry for Mark Gower but his days here are numbered. At least he got his wish and played in the Premier league with us. Thank you for your efforts Mark, always appreciated, good luck mate.”
